Malacca, once an ancient port city is steeped in history and legacies of the seafarers, spice merchants, missionaries and the colonial powers that took turns to rule it. Influences of the Portuguese, Dutch and British are left behind and preserved by the existing communities such as the Peranakan (straits born Chinese). From the 15th Century, Malacca was once a half way port for spice trading between the West and the East. Malacca is a 2 hours ride south of Kuala Lumpur.

Highlights includes: Jonkers Street, Cheng Hoon Teng temple, Kampung Kling mosque, Hindu temple, A' Famosa, Stadthuys, Dutch Square, Christ Church and St Paul's Hill.
