Crab Island — an idyllic fishing village

Visit this old and unique fishing village, where lifestyle is simple and unsophisticated. Mainly inhabited by the local Chinese, the entire community lives on stilts. During high tide the wooden houses appear to be floating on water. A boat journey allows you to see the lush mangroves. The island is known for its fresh seafood and floating fish farms. Highlights include a walkabout the village, Chinese temple, opera stage and Homestay facilities. Crab Island is about one-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur and a 35 min boat ride away from Port Klang.
